How to install VMware for Ford/Mazda IDS

Recently, we received lots of customer complaints for that they cannot install VMware for VXDIAG VCX NANO for Ford/Mazda 2 in 1 with IDS in a correct way. Here, we wobd2 especially released a post to help those out.

Computer Requirements
•    Processor: Core CPU 2GHz+.
•    Memory: 4G Bytes or more.
•    Hard disk: 40G or more.
•    Display: Resolution 1024×768 or higher.
•    Network interfaces: LAN 10 / 100M or 802.11b / g.
•    Communication Interface: USB2.0 or USB3.0
•    Operating System: Windows XP SP3 / Win7 / Win8 / Win8.1.


1. Open DVD and click “VMware-player-6.0.6-2700073.ex” for installation.
2. Click “Next” to install VMware player.
3. Select “I accept… License agreement” and click “Next”.
4. Click “Next” on Destination Folder.
5. Click “Next” without selection of “check for product updates on startup”.
6. Click “Next” without selection of “Help improve VMware Player”.
7. Click “Next” on Shortcuts.
8. Click “Continue” to begin the process.
9. Installing…
10. Click “Finish”.
Operations related to VMware player are successfully completed.
And icon of “VMware Player” appeared on Desktop.
11. Copy files “Ford IDS95 VM”to “Computer/OS(C:)”.
12. Open “VMware player” on Desktop, and open “VM.vmx” in “OS(C:)/Ford IDS95 VM”.
13. Click here to edit virtual machine settings.
14. Configure VM Memory and CPU.

15. Click here to run VM.
16. Connect device USB to VM
17. Open VCI Manager to check device
18. Run IDS software
